Evaluating Resources
Internal Resources
Before you build your Adaptation Plan, you will want to consider the resources you have available to you. These include the resources within your organization and external resources. Considering expertise, funding, staffing models, capacity and other resources will help you plan for internal responsibilities and external support.
Vroom Resources Available to You
If you secure an A.L.T. Vroom Content License, Vroom can provide you with two key resources:
- Existing translated content (developed for use in the U.S.) for use in further adaptation and localization
- The full Vroom Tip database in a sortable format
Previously Translated Content
Vroom Content has already been translated into 16 languages for use with non-English speakers. This translated Vroom Content is intended for use primarily in North America. It was developed with a U.S. cultural context in mind. However, this content can be a great starting point for further translations for international use.

In addition to the Vroom Content translated for North American audiences, we may have some content that has already been translated and/or localized by a Vroom licensee.
This is a big part of the reason that Vroom collects all adapted Vroom Content as part of the terms of our A.L.T. Vroom Content License. This cumulative adaptation approach will allow us to provide more and more forms of Vroom Content to licensees as time goes on.
This makes Vroom more accessible for organizations and communities with limited resources and helps us reach those that might benefit the most from our approach to sharing the science of early brain development.
What Vroom Cannot Provide
There are certain things Vroom cannot provide, and you should consider these as you think about adapting Vroom Content:
- Vroom cannot create custom content for you or adapt content for your setting.
- Vroom cannot provide access to our design assets and files, including illustrations. This means you can make or use your own illustrations, but you cannot use or make changes to our illustrations, photographs, or design files.
- Vroom does not provide funding for translation, adaptation, or materials. The Bezos Family Foundation does not accept unsolicited funding requests.
